Angioplasty is a surgical intervention in which the occlusive/hypertrophied vessel or coronary artery of the heart is occluded by a balloon. This form of medical therapy is usually provided after myocardial infarction to restore arterialisation and shorten the course of damage. The surgeon puts a stent inside the lumen so that it stays patent in restoring blood flow. This early coronary angioplasty after myocardial infarction (within 3 months) also reduces future myocardial heart disease.

Heart attack is the primary cause of death. Hence, it is of significant interest to circumvent it effectively. Despite irreducible variables, i.e., age, sex, and genetics, which must be considered, a good cardiac function can be sustained through lifestyle behaviours.

High-Blood-Pressure.webp

Blood pressure readings assess the volume of blood flowing through vessels and the resistance it encounters during heart contractions. High blood pressure, known as hypertension, occurs when the force of blood moving through vessels remains consistently elevated.

A heart attack occurs when blood flow to the heart muscle is obstructed. This often results from plaque buildup within the coronary arteries. Although these events may appear to strike quickly, strange symptoms may start several days, weeks or even months before the actual episode. Recognising these symptoms early can help prevent severe complications.
